A JUST MAN WALKS IN INTEGRITY

JUST - Righteous; upright (a just man). Just implies adherence to a standard of rightness or lawfulness without reference to one's own inclinations (a just decision). WALK - To follow a certain course of life; conduct oneself in a certain way (let us walk in peace). A manner of walking (to know someone by his walk). INTEGRITY - The quality or state of being complete; unbroken condition; soundness. The quality or state of being of sound moral principle; uprightness, honesty, and sincerity. Although Jesus did not use the word integrity, he called for purity of heart, singleness of purpose, and purity of motive. SCRIPTURES: Proverbs 20:7; and Second Corinthians 1:12. The just walks in his integrity: his children are blessed after him. For our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by grace of God, we have had our conversation in the world, and more abundantly to you-ward. REFERENCE SCRIPURES: Gen. 6:9; Gen. 17:1; Gen. 25:27; First Kings 9:4; Job 1:1,8; Job 2:3,9; Job 4:6; Job 27:5; Job 31:6; Mat. 5:8; Mat. 6:1-6,22.

A cure: - health. HEALING The process of applying preventive and remedial practices to maintain good health. In the ancient world health was a highly prized possession. The Hebrew tended to think primarily in terms of physical strength and well-being. MEDICINE and PHYSICIANS The first medicines probably were introduced to the Hebrews by the Egyptians while they were in bondage. In biblical times medicines were made from minerals, animal substances, herbs, wines, fruits and other plants. The Bible mentions numerous examples of these primitive medicines - notably the "balm of Gilead," which was probably an aromatic substance taken from an evergreen tree. SCRIPTURE TEXT: Jeremiah 30:17; Jeremiah 33:6. For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the Lord; because they called thee an Outcast, saying This Zion whom no man seeketh after. THE SALT COVENANT

The Covenant of Salt - an Old Testament expression for an everlasting covenant. Salt was an important commodity in the ancient world. It was used for seasoning foods as well as to purify and preserve certain substances. Thus, a covenant of salt indicated faithfulness, dependability, and durability. Nomads of the middle East still eat "bread and salt" together as the sign and seal of a covenant of brotherhood. Scripture: Numbers 18:19 All the heave offerings of the holy things, which the children of Israel offer unto the Lord, have I given thee, and thy sons and daughters with thee, by a statute for ever: it is a covenant of salt for ever before the Lord unto thee and thy seed with thee. Scripture: Second Chron. 13:5 Ought ye not know that the Lord God of Israel gave the kingdom over Israel to David for ever, even to him and to his sons by a covenant of salt?

TABERNACLES (OR BOOTHS OR FEAST OF INGATHERING) 7 DAYS TISHRI 15-21 [SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER]

Began 5 days after the Day of Atonement. During this feast they lived in temporary shelters in commemoration of God's gracious provisions during the 40 years in the wilderness. Jesus revealed Himself as the source of Living Water at this ffeast (John 7:37-39). The Word was made flesh, and dwelt (tabernacled) among us (John 1:14).

FEAST OF PENTECOST (FEAST OF HARVEST) 6TH DAY OF THE THIRD MONTH (MAY/JUNE) SIVAN

Celebrated seven weeks (50 days) after Firstfruits, it marked the completion of the harvest (Firstfruits) [Lev. 23:15-22; Deut. 16:9-12]. It included the offering and waving of two oaves of leavened bread commemorating the end of the summer harvest. The outpouring of the Holy Spirit took place at Pentecost, 50 days after the resurrection of Christ (Acts 2). Pentecost means 50th in Greek. Two loaves of leavened bread illustrates the sinful nature of both Jew and Gentile.

THE FEAST OF TRUMPETS

FEAST OF TRUMPETS ("Rosh Ha- Shana" or NEW Years Day) Date in Hebrew Calendar: 1st of Tishrei (7th Biblical month, September--October). Scripture References: Lev. 23:23-25 ; Numbers 10:9-10, Numbers 29:1 ; Neh. 8:1-12. The Bible says less about the Feast of Trumpets than any of the other feasts- it was simply to be a holy day celebrated with trumpet blasts, on the first day of the seventh month. The blowing of the trumpet was associated with the calling of a solemn assembly; a warning of danger and action to be taken (such as gathering of the troops to war) or the arrival of a king. Over the centuries this feast-because it was the first in the series of three fall festivals considered to be the holiest time of the year --came traditionally to be called "Rosh ha- Shana" (literally "Head of the year"), or New events described in nehemiah 8:1-12, called "holy" in veres 10&11. While this feast is not specifically mentioned in the New Testament, at least two extremely important prophetic events are described there as beginning with a trumpet blast--the "rapure" of the church (1 Thess. 4:16-18), and the return of the Lord (Mathew 24:31). The Feast of Trumpets is celebrated today with several different blasts of the "Shofar" (trumpet made from a ram's horn). It is a very solemn time, just preceding the holiest day of all- the Day of Atonement (" Yom Kippur"). On Yom Kippur God's atonement (forgiveness) is sought and His judgement is feared. The ten days from Rosh ha- Shana through Yom Kippur are called the "Days of Awe," when one considsiders his/her sins before God, and enters into a period of repentance; of asking for forgiveness from God and those one has harmed; and of restitution. While there is no special celebration of this feast in the church, a time of repentance, asking for forgiveness and of restitution certainly would not be out place, especially as we await the last trmp and the coming of the King of Kings. WORSHIP GOD

Scripture Text: Nehemiah 8:5-6 And Ezra opened the book in the sight of all the people: (for he was above all the people;) and when he opened it, all the people stood up: And Ezra blessed the Lord, the great God. And all the people answered, Amen, Amen, with lifting up their hands: and they bowed their heads, and worshipped the Lord with their faces to the ground. Prostrate: On The Face Before God Lying with the face downward in demonstration of great humility or abject submission. Prostrate implies the position of one thrown or lying flat in a prone or supine position, as in great humility or complete submission, or because laid low. Scripture Text: Numbers 20:6 And Moses and Aaron went from the presence of the assembly unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and they fell upon their faces: and the glory of the Lord appeared unto them. Threshing Floor A flat surface prepared for the threshing of grain. The threshing floor was usually located at the edge of a village, frequently on large flat rock outcropping. When no flat rock was avilable, the threshing floor would be prepared by leveling the ground and pounding the earth to create a hard surface. As Christians, we make it our first formost priority to spend time with God so that we will continue to grow in Him daily. Seeking His will for our lives. This should always be the "top priority" of all priories that we set before us. I pray in Jesus name that this blog will be spiritual tool that can be used help our brothers and sisters in Christ grow stronger in their relationship with Him. God Bless You In Jesus Name.
